This was to be a lenticular artwork to depict the contradictory ideals of the feminine. As the Unapologetic artwork in the end was a two-dimensional board, I worked on a large scale, keeping intact the style. The concept is taken from Hinduism, taking the avataars of one goddess - Kaali and Parvati, and how we can have opposing virtues, and how we should be unapologetic for both.
For the Unshackled Exhibit, I was allowed to explore how it would look as a three-dimensional piece. The goddess was in blue skin colour, which is how gods and goddesses are usually depicted in popular culture. I added another layer of the artwork depicting real women on the opposite side. Woman is a reflection of goddess, which had brown skin colour.
