I took part in a two-month entrepreneurship course at FabLab, which culminated in a Christmas Makers’ Market stall. During the course, I explored several product ideas before focusing on penguins, inspired by their broad and universal appeal.
I designed a collection of penguin characters tailored to different activities and interests. Each piece was carefully crafted from laser-cut wood and hand-painted with vibrant resin colours. The resulting product line, “PenGrin Parade”, included pin badges, brooches, cards, and a chess set.
Alongside product design, I developed the packaging and display presentation to create a polished and professional retail experience. Planning how the products were showcased and priced also gave me valuable insight into customer behaviour, product placement, and buyer psychology.
